Ted Pappas used to own the Greek Cusina, which was closed down in December 2009. The restaurant and upstairs bar, which attracted large crowds every weekend, was boarded up following a long bout with the city and Commissioner Randy Leonard over fire hazard violations.
In a recent news release, Pappas claims that his American dream was taken away and his livelihood destroyed when the city closed the doors on his business.
