I Got your back…I Love the Military

Obama Urges Congress to Support Tricare Fees

On Monday the White House pressed the Pentagon to rein in Tricare costs and begin a new round of base closings as the Senate took up the National Defense Authorization Act on the military’s 2014 budget….

Veterans and  Retirees Write your Politicians and remind them that we fought for our right to vote and that we do exercise it… A lot of us were promised Free medical if we gave the Government 20 years… Now we pay through the teeth twice?

It’s a Dogs Life…. Obama care Patient

It is a Dogs Life...  One man’s Yorkie is reaping the benefits of Obamacare after the Colorado healthcare exchange processed and approved an application in the dog’s name   I love the irony of this… What is next? Dead Democrat VotersSmile???

Portland Oregon Crooks and Thieves Water Bureau edition

Hat Tip KATU and Dan Tilkin

Plans to replace the dilapidated mobile home that used to house the caretaker - a double-wide that was purchased for $79,950 in 2007, by the way - were approved amid fireworks from Portland city council members Randy Leonard and Amanda Fritz.
A sample exchange from their debate:
Fritz: “What are we buying for $460,000?”
Water Bureau administrator David Shaff: “Just that, a house.”
Fritz: “A nice house. How about what are we buying … ”
Leonard: “I think that's uncalled for. If you want to ask questions that are professional and have answers, I appreciate that. But question that are impugning the bureaus integrity or anybody else is uncalled for and that's playing to the audience.”
Fritz:I don't comment on your behavior, and I would appreciate the same courtesy.”
It’s certainly not the first controversial project for the Water Bureau; in fact, it’s not even the first controversial house….

And the Hits keep on coming

The beat goes on … Portland Oregon crooks and politicians.

Hoping for some Change

The people in charge should be kicked out and required to personally pay this money back...
"
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers cannot produce about $1 billion of receipts for fuel and other supplies it bought in Iraq using Iraqi money, a government investigation has found.
The total amount of funds unaccounted for has now reached a staggering $7 billion, officials say — and they warn that the Iraqi government is likely to demand at least some of that money back.
The United States has been managing billions of dollars of Iraqi money through the U.N.-created Development Fund for Iraq (DFI)"

While Mayor Sam Adams Slept :Portland Police Arrest Man Squatting in Residence in Northeast Portland's Woodlawn Neighborhood

This must really irritate Sam... First he wasn't told that the FBI was raiding his constituents "occupied" residencesAnd now this On Sunday, August 6, 2012 at 10:45 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a residential burglary to a duplex in the 500 block of Northeast Bryant Street. The property is a newly constructed duplex which is staged with furniture and listed for sale. The owner of the property told police that he arrived to find signs of a burglary and believed people may still be inside.

The house immediately west of the duplex is associated with squatters from the Occupy Portland movement, evidenced by the signs in the front yard and large group of Occupiers standing in the front yard.

As officers approached the duplex they observed a large banner (approximately 15') hanging in from the front porch of the duplex which read, "Together we are unevictable."

Officers were able to search one half of the duplex and determine there was no one inside. When attempting to search the other half, officers discovered that the lockbox had been removed from the front door and another lockbox had been removed from the gas meter. Officers looking through the front door could clearly see that furniture had been moved and there was a grocery bag on the kitchen floor.

Officers and the homeowner entered the backyard to find that all the fencing between the duplex and the house to the west (Occupy Portland) had been removed and was piled up in the backyard of the residence being squatted in by Occupy Portland supporters.

The homeowner was able to allow police entry to the duplex after breaching a window. Once inside officers arrested 24-year-old Derek John Charles Zika, who was crouched down by the front door. Zika had personal belongings in an upstairs bedroom and it appeared he had just taken a shower in the upstairs bathroom. The grocery bag in the kitchen contained 2 new sets of door locks that did not belong to the homeowner.

Zika was arrested and charged with Burglary in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

The Portland Police Bureau is continuing to work on getting cooperation from owners of vacant properties like the one being squatted in by supporters of Occupy Portland on Northeast Bryant Street. Owners of vacant properties are responsible for securing them and for maintaining them until they are sold or rented.

Owners needing assistance from the Portland Police Bureau should contact the Neighborhood Response Team from their police precinct to arrange for a "Trespass Agreement," which can allow for police officers to immediately take enforcement action against trespassers.
