Rule 5 Video: Electro Hip-Hop Tyranny Remix

“He was dressed strangely, and he raised his arms” like at a trance party, Mr. Alooshe said Sunday in a telephone interview, referring to the gatherings that feature electronic dance music. Then there were Colonel Qaddafi’s words with their natural beat.

Noy Alooshe, 31, an Israeli journalist, musician and Internet buff, said he saw Colonel Qaddafi’s televised speech last Tuesday in which the Libyan leader vowed to hunt down protesters “inch by inch, house by house, home by home, alleyway by alleyway,” and immediately identified it as a “classic.”
Mr. Alooshe spent a few hours at the computer, using pitch corrector technology to set the speech to the music of “Hey Baby,” a song by the American rapper Pitbull, featuring another artist, T-Pain. Mr. Alooshe titled it “Zenga-Zenga,” echoing Colonel Qaddafi’s repetition of the word zanqa, Arabic for alleyway.
By the early hours of Wednesday morning, Mr. Alooshe had uploaded the electro hip-hop remix to YouTube, and he began promoting it on Twitter and Facebook, sending the link to the pages of young Arab revolutionaries. By Sunday night, the original clip had received nearly 500,000 hits and had gone viral.

NKorea Threatens to Attack SKorea, US

SEOUL, South Korea -- North Korea threatened Sunday to enlarge its nuclear arsenal and mercilessly attack South Korea and the United States, as the allies prepared to start annual joint military drills which the North says are a rehearsal for an invasion.

North Korea routinely issues similar threats against South Korea and the U.S. over any joint military drills. The latest warning, however, could rekindle tensions on the Korean peninsula which sharply rose last year after two deadly incidents blamed on the North.

Congressman David Wu Has a Tiger Problem

Seven-term Democratic representative David Wu is being asked to step down, after sending a picture of himself in a tiger costume to his staff. But it's not just the tiger pic — seven staff members resigned after the 2010 election season, in which Wu exhibited some bizarre office behavior. On Tuesday, Wu appeared on Good Morning America to address it all.

Appeasement 1938 vs. 2011

Is this the time for appeasement? Is history forgotten so quickly? Germany today is acting like British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain did in 1938 as he shook Hitler's hand claiming peace with the dictator. We all know how that ended.

Appeasement 1938 vs. 2011

On the streets of Tehran brave people are fighting for their freedom. Despite the rain, despite the tear gas, despite a stultifying security presence of police forces arresting protesters - the Iranians are not giving up.

World powers should support the frail call for freedom heard in Iran. The people under the cruel dictatorial regime of the Ayatollahs need all the help they can get to break free.

Chicago's new Mayor

“There are no more rabbits to pull out of the hat,” said Joe Moore, an alderman from the North Side for the last 20 years, referring to the city’s budget of about $6 billion. “What is left for the next mayor and the next City Council is a series of bad choices — cutting services, perhaps raising taxes and fees.”

Among the questions certain to arise: How does he now handle the city’s 50 aldermen, some of whose political careers were owed to the current mayor and others who pressed for Mr. Emanuel’s opponents? How may he push to change city workers’ pensions, a system he has described as unsustainable? And how does he soothe differences that arose during a tense campaign — differences with public-sector unions that endorsed Mr. Chico and with African-American leaders who backed Carol Moseley Braun, the first black woman in the United States Senate? http://www.nytimes.com

“Tonight we are moving forward the only way we truly can — together as one city with one future,” Mr. Emanuel told a crowd at a union hall west of downtown.

Obama Administration Tells Darrell Issa to Go to H-E-Double Hockey Sticks

We’ve known for a while that everything the Obama Administration does is political, but this is a telling example that even compliance with Congress has descended into a political fight.

From Department of Justice inquiries to Freedom of Information Act requests, future Republican White Houses will now have some great precedent set by the Obama Administration.

Of course the question is — what are they hiding?

Congressman Issa will not get the documents he is requesting from the Department of Homeland Security.

The Daily Caller has the story.

Congressman Issa, now in charge of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, sent the DHS a demand for documents. Those documents have never arrived.

More troubling, according to Issa

top DHS officials actually instructed career employees not to search for the documents he is requesting.

“I was disappointed to learn that on or about Jan. 20, 2011, DHS’s Office of General Counsel instructed career staff in the Privacy Office not to search for documents responsive to my request,” Issa says in the Feb. 1 letter.

More troubling, DHS officials have told career bureaucrats to send all the documents to Barack Obama’s political team to review for sending the documents on.

Mitch McConnell Forces a Senate Vote to Repeal ObamaCare
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R.-Ky.) made a surprise move yesterday to force a Senate vote on repealing ObamaCare, one day after a Florida court ruled the health care law unconstitutional.
“Yesterday, federal court in Florida found the crux of the law to be unconstitutional,” McConnell said yesterday on the floor.  “So we have an opportunity today.  For all those who supported the health law, it’s an opportunity to reevaluate your vote, to listen to your constituents who are desperately trying to get your attention.”
